Paperback King’s Man – a groovy new cover

Posted on

Hi all,

It’s getting close, it’s getting very close. The paperback version of King’s Man is about to hit the shelves of bookshops and supermarkets all over the UK – July 5th is the date to remember. So just in case you had forgotten – as if you would, tch! – here is the cover to look out for on the shelves of Asda, Tesco, Waterstones, WHSmiths and elsewhere. I think it is brilliant – groovy, violent, very dramatic and pretty damn cool.

I’d love to hear what you think!

Angus, this is the type of cover that should attract every historical fiction lover’s eye. I am so very sick to death of covers with headless women on them. King’s Man just hits you right between the eyes with action!!!! I LOVE it!!!

    Good job!

    Hi Angus,
I’m sorry I haven’t written for so long but I’ve been very very busy this month. I’ve been passing all my exams and passing History & Culture of the USA is not an easy thing! ;)

I’ll get that straight: the cover is out of this world! Da bomb! ;)

    Best wishes as always,
    E.

Angus – I just have to tell you that I have had a few people contact me to tell me that they’ve read the first two books and are eager to get the rest of them! They are addictive. See? Your books are the best!

Yesterday I went to lunch with some friends and we were talking about books and when I mentioned my reading likes and dislikes they all wanted to know who my favorite author was. Well…..don’t you know who it is? I gave them all the details about your books and it looks like I have found a couple of folks who will most likely be future fans of yours. I just have to say that this excites me! Hooray!

    All my best,
    Jeanne

    Dear Evelyn,
Massive congratulations of passing all your exams! You must be an excellent student.Sorry I haven’t replied for a while, I’ve been on holiday with my family in Cornwall. Glad you like the cover – I wish I could tell you that there was going to be a Polish edition, but I can’t. No news on that front, I’m afraid. Anyway, lots of love from, Angus

    Hi Jeanne,
I’m so flattered that I am your favourite author! And, for telling all your friends about my books, I hereby award you another Golden Arrow. (You now have a grand total of eight). Thanks again, love, Angus

Thank you Angus! I make sure that I tell all of my “reading” friends and acquaintances about your books. That’s just a “given”!

    Angus,
I’m a bit behind on this post, so I apologize. I devoured Outlaw and Holy Warrior in December and January. Outlaw helped me drive my family through the night back from Christmas holiday with the grandparents.

I’m so disappointed that King’s Man won’t be available in the US until November. It will have to be birthday present for me, although a week late.

My problem is that I just can’t find anyone else that holds a candle to you in this genre. Keep up the good work. I can’t wait to read your future works.

Thank you, Scott. It’s very kind of you to say that. I’m sorry that you have to wait until November but I’m afraid the publisher controls all that sort of stuff. I just write the books! The problem is that not many people in the States have bought the books, and so my future is uncertain there (I’m doing OK in the UK). I really hope King’s Man isn’t the last one to be published on your side of the pond, but if you wanted to help, spread the word amongst your friends and colleagues and maybe we can generate a little more interest in the series over there – that should speed up the publications times. I’m writing Book 5 at the moment her in England, and I have plans of three, six or possibly eight more Robin Hood books after that. I hope that one day you will get to read them.
Best wishes from your British “cousin”,
    Angus

Hi Scott! I just want to express my relief at having yet another person here from the USA who has such a love of these books. I’ve been wracking my brain at trying to find ways to get Angus’ books more well know over here – maybe you have some ideas too. Short of renting roadside billboard space, I don’t know what else I can come up with. I would be so thrilled to walk into Barnes and Noble one day and see The Outlaw Chronicles on display just as you walk in the door!! As for waiting until November, I can tell you that if you want to order King’s Man from Amazon UK, the paperback version (new) is available for $8.95 plus $3.99 shipping – and that’s in US dollars. Check it out!!

I have to correct my above post, Scott. Even though Amazon UK has this book at a very reasonable price, it looks like it’s available from the US Amazon site for the prices I mentioned above! I don’t think you have to wait until November…..unless you want the edition with the latest cover. Ah…they come from the UK but you can order them from the US AZN site.
