The paperback version of King’s Man

Posted on Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

My publisher has just sent me this new cover for the paperback of King’s Man (Book 3 of the Outlaw Chronicles), which is coming out in July this year. I think it is brilliant – love to hear what you all think . . .

It looks great – the new effects with the vibrant colours look awesome! I will probably be getting the hardback version though, as I wouldn’t be able to wait for the paperback to be released…

Hi James, the hardback version of King’s Man is already out if you want to buy it! Hardback Warlord comes out in July 2012. All the best, Angus

  3. James Sutton says:

*I got the hardback version as I couldn’t wait for the paperback to be released (wrong tense)

  4. AngusD says:

    Ah, I get you now!

  5. Evelyn says:

Wow! I think that the paperback is even better than the hardback! Truly! So vivid, so real, and looks almost like a movie capture. Fantastic job!

I also see that the Warlord cover (on the left on your site) is awesome. I don’t know why I haven’t seen it before or I just don’t remember it. Did you show this cover earlier? Did I miss something?

Anyway, they both look like $ 1 million :)

    Kind Regards,
    E.

That is quite a cover for this book! If that doesn’t jump right out at buyers browsing the shelves, I don’t know what would – unless you had little “Robins” with swords literally hopping off the cover! ;) Very well done!

BTW, looking at comments on Paperbackswap, I see your name and the titles of your books brought up more and more, Angus. Maybe the word is finally getting out. Jerelyn is of a mind that I have purchased a small bookstore of your books and have been sending them out – she’s close! Many people requested your books as Christmas presents – and they got them! I even reinstated my membership on Facebook and will have to get on there so I can comment on your books too. Please tell us that you are seeing some kind of an upsurge in the book sales!!

Let’s get this year started off right! Keep up the wonderful writing.

Good luck and Happy New Year!

    Jeanne

  7. Jeanne Lemieux says:

OMG! I just looked at the date on my above comment – it’s my birthday over there already (sob). I’ve been hoping that date would never come. Time is going by on a jet pack! I want to live long enough to see your name on every list of best sellers, Angus!!!

  9. AngusD says:

You gotta finish the book, Karlo. If you are still confused then, let me know. Happy New Year, Angus

  10. AngusD says:

Happy Birthday, Leanne! I did see a spike in the sales of Outlaw before Christmas – I guess that was down to you. Many, many thanks! Love, A

  11. AngusD says:

Thanks Evelyn – hope you had a good Christmas and New year!

  12. Paddy says:

Love the cover of Warlord, too. Here’s to lots of sales in 2012

  13. AngusD says:

    Thanks Patrick!

  14. Blair Hodgkinson says:

That cover looks even better than the white background!

  15. AngusD says:

    Glad you like it, Blair!
    Cheers, A

  16. Robert says:

Wow looks fantastic. Looks a whole lot better then the hardback version. WarLord looks great as well.

  17. Adam Francis says:

I have to be honest Mr Donald, I have only just discovered the world of Robin through your eyes.
I have just finished Holy Warrior and did not even know King’s Man was available!
Apologies for that, but if it is any consolation, it has just jumped to the top of my reading list and you are definately on my favourite authors list.
    Keep em coming!

  18. AngusD says:

Thank you, Adam, for your kind email; and I’m so glad you like my darker version of Robin (some people don’t!). If you do enjoy King’s Man, when you get round to reading it, you may like to know that the next one, Warlord (book 4), will be out in hardback in July 2012. I hope you continue to enjoy the Outlaw Chronicles and my take on the legend. I’m just staring work on Book 5 at the moment (no title yet).
    Best wishes, Angus

  19. Chase says:

Where do I buy this book(hardback)? I live in the US.

  20. AngusD says:

King’s Man is being published in the US in November. Hope you can wait that long! Best wishes, Angus

  21. Chase says:

    Thank you.
